During recent years, some new surveillance systems, such as Wide-Area Multilateration (WAM) and Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast (ADS-B) have been given the operation and provide the services. It is necessary to integrate these new systems with current Secondary Surveillance Radar (SSR) systems and provide more accurate surveillance information to air traffic controllers. Under such a multi-sensor environment, the research on the hybrid surveillance system is conducted in the Electronic Navigation Research Institute. In this paper, the practical experiments of a multisensor-multitarget tracking approach for hybrid air traffic surveillance systems based on Interacting Multiple Model (IMM) estimators are discussed. |
