(in English) It has been reported that there are motion detection cells on both sides in fly visual system, which are mutually connected in a unique manner.
However, little is known about the role of this mutual connection in visual information processing.
Here, to investigate the role of the connection, we constructed a model of recurrent network with Morris-Lecar model.
We conclude that the binocular motion vision by the LPTCs mutual network causes efficiency of population coding for the rotational motion stimuli to be higher, although neither of the rotational and translational motion have fundamentally dominance by nature.
