Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) In order to analyze diffuse lung diseases by use of CAD (Computer-aided Diagnosis) systems, it is necessary to extract pulmonary areas from CT images as pre-processing. In the case of normal pulmonary areas, it is possible to identify pulmonary areas by threshold based method. However, in some cases of diffuse lung diseases,it is difficult to extract the accurate pulmonary areas by threshold based method. Then, in this paper, we tried to extract accurate pulmonary areas by use of probabilistic atlas and graph cuts algorithm.
