| (in English) | Software as a service (SaaS) providers need to monitor heterogeneous logs of applications and physical/virtual devices. These logs are stored in a log data store which is a part of monitoring system. The log data store must have flexibility to support various data formats, and search performance to find requested data within a few seconds. In this paper, we propose and evaluate a log data store method for large-scale SaaS-based systems. This method is based on document-oriented database, which can contain structured data without pre-definitions of the data structures. We developed a prototype of the proposed method by using MongoDB which is a document-oriented database, and evaluated the proposed method and traditional method. The results of the evaluation show that the proposed method can improve the coverage of the flexibility requirements from 45 percent to 82 percent, and enhance the search performance by 192 times in typical use case. This result suggests that the proposed method should have enough flexibility and search performance for monitoring SaaS-based systems. | |
