Event-B Based Development for Mobile Applications

Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) The recent increasing complexity of software limits the improvement of its reliability and productivity through the traditional development approaches. Many people focus on applying formal methods in the upper process of the software development cycle, in order to relieve this situation. On the other hand, the rapid spread of smartphones requires more reliable and efficient development ways for mobile applications, supporting various smartphone platforms. This paper presents a mobile application development process that satisfies the above requirements, which uses a model oriented specification language. The Event-B is used as a specification language, while iOS, Android, and Windows Phone are taken into account as the platforms.
