According to the IEEE C95.6 standard, ungrounded human has been considered for the field exposure scenario of contact current, while no clear description is given in the ICNIRP guidelines. This study hence focuses on the computational dosimetry for the grounded/ungrounded human bodies due to the contact current for frequencies below 10 MHz. Results have indicated that, for both ground-ed/ungrounded human bodies, the induced maximum electric field in subcutaneous fat and muscle of the extremities are higher than the corresponding limits specified in standard/guidelines. The electric field distributions in grounded and ungrounded human bodies are different due to the existence of the con-duction current path in the grounded human body. |
