A study on the interference characteristics of ZigBee systems on IEEE 802.11g

(in English) In this paper, experimental results on the
frame error rate (FER) of an IEEE 802.11g based
wireless LAN (WLAN) system subject to interference
by a ZigBee system are presented. Before measuring
the FER, the measurement bandwidth for measuring
the desired to undesired signal ratio (D/U) was determined.
Then the FER of the WLAN system was
measured for different values of the transmission
period of the ZigBee signal. It was found that the
D/U varied in accordance with the measurement
bandwidth and that the FER of the WLAN system
used was less than 10-5 when the transmission period
the ZigBee signal was longer than 21 ms.
