We are developing “ORB Engine” which is a distributed-object middleware suitable for an FPGA, in order to reduce the term and the cost of a development which targets a cooperative distributed system of an FPGA with a PC or a tablet terminal. Software assets may be reused in the development because “ORB engine” is compliant to CORBA standard of distributed object technology. In this paper, a detailed process of a short-term (5-days) development is explained through a development of a distributed system of an FPGA and a GUI (Graphical User Interface) of an Android terminal / PC, in which an audio processing is performed. The parameter of the audio processing in the FPGA is controlled through the GUI on the Android terminal or the Java program on the PC. |
