Secret sharing using the Chinese remainder theorem and its application

(in English) This paper presents a method of secret sharing using Chinese remainder theorem. In particular, we develop a system which shares the data of a file system such as database to more than two remote sites and recover these data from two sites. We then show the utility and effectiveness of this method. In addition, we consider whether four arithmetic operations can be performed in the condition where the values to calculate are shared. Finally, we compare our proposed scheme with Shamir’s secret sharing method. Based on these comparisons, we conclude that our scheme has a large possible of the practical use.
