| (in English) | Members of social networking services (SNS) disclose private information to large groups of people in spite of the threats and available privacy settings. In this paper, we particularly access whether user behavior in restricting private information is infuenced by their knowledge about risks of using SNS and also to determine if benefi ts of using SNS can be among the factors of whether to reveal private information and its contribution to our model. Correlation analysis was conducted, and the results showed no or positive signifi cant correlation between knowledge about risks of using SNS and user behavior. Even members with a high level of such risk knowledge disclosed private information to large groups of people but were willing to spend time to confi gure privacy settings not related to pro file information. The result of regression analysis showed that benefi ts of using SNS cause members to disclose private information and have little contribution in our model. |
