[Poster Presentation] Movement and acoustical characteristics of TeleHead IV and VI

(in English) We have measured the mechanical response characteristics and acoustical characteristics of the TeleHead IV and VI, which are steerable dummy-head systems that track human head rotational movement quietly and quickly. The motion delay for the ±60° sinusoidal 1 Hz swing movement of the TeleHead IV and VI were 120 ms and 5 ms respectively. The A-weighted sound pressure level of the audio-line noise during operation was 36 dB with the TeleHead IV, and 29 dB with the TeleHead VI. The A-weighted sound pressure level of the radiation noise during operation was 25 dB with the TeleHead IV, and 22 dB with the TeleHead VI. The results revealed that the newly developed TeleHead VI can track human head movement more quietly and quickly than any TeleHeads we had even exist.
