How can you specify a device in the case of file sharing among multiple devices in the spot (e.g. a meeting picture of a social gathering or an alumni association)? One solution is to specify the partner device address (e.g. e-mail address or Bluetooth Device Address) on your own, but users sometimes feel annoyed with or mistake this operation. In this paper, we newly propose a device specifying method by an intuitive operation of circling the partner device, enabling makes users unaware of the device address. The proposed method uses the Doppler Effect of acoustic waves generated by the circle operation, enabling to specify multiple partner devices simultaneously and distinguish a device with which you do not want to share. We measure its performance via the implemented application in a real environment. The experimental results show that its resolution is about 30.0 degrees, which is practical for the above use case. |
