Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) This paper evaluates the performance of $8\times8$ downlink multiuser MIMO-OFDM transmission based on vector perturbation (VP) precoding which employs zero-forcing (ZF) or MMSE spatial filtering. Through computer simulations assuming a frame format similar to 3GPP Release 10 downlink and WINNER II A1 LOS channel, it is shown that MMSE-based VP can reduce the norm of the transmission signal vector compared with ZF-based VP, and thus it can achieve higher average sum-rate if the modulo boundary size for demodulation is set properly. It is also confirmed that the modulo boundary size must be set by taking account for the amount of inter-stream interference.
