A Novel 1-bit Feedforward Distorted Compensation for Bandpass ΔΣ modulation

(in English) We propose a novel 1-bit feedforward distorted compensation technology in a direct radio frequency converter (DRFC) which is a kind of RF transmitter using bandpass delta-sigma modulation (BP-DSM). BP-DSM efficiently performs high resolution data conversion using oversampling. It can directly output a RF signal from baseband using 1-bit digital pulse train with a rectangular waveform and but, recently related works reported that an adjacent channel leakage ratio (ACLR) deteriorates when this waveform is off an ideal waveform. Proposal method in this paper can compensate this ACLR and be performed by using a distorted compensation signal with a 1-bit digital pulse train. Therefore this novel method does not need an analog RF circuit for compensation. In simulation, a theoretical approach of proposal method leads to high ACLR 60 dB to compensate this distortion even if two kinds of signals are distorted independently. We measured that the proposed method compensates ACLR from 46 dB to 50 dB in a developed prototype.
