Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) B. M. Kurkoski et al. have proposed a quantizer design method based on the maximization of the mutual information.
Furthermore, an application method for the decoding of LDPC codes has been proposed.
This method has the constraints of binary-input discrete memoryless channels, and it is difficult to apply for general channels directly.

In this study, we focus on MIMO communication systems and consider a quantizer design method based on the mutual information criteria.
Then we propose a design method maximizing the mutual information by the conjugate gradient method.
