A Study on TCP Window Size Control Method Suitable for WINDS Regenerative Mode

(in English) In the satellite communication using WINDS, throughput does not increase by some reasons such as long delay environment and attenuation of electric wave by rain. There is a method of enlarging TCP windows size as one of the solutions of long delay environment. However, packet loss occurs when an electric wave attenuates, and throughput is decreased by increasing retransmission time in TCP communication. Furthermore, transmission efficiency gets worse due to size of retransmission packets is enlarged when TCP window size is large. In this paper, we researched optimal TCP window size control method for WINDS regenerative mode, and report about the suitable window size for various line situations.
