| 抄録 | （和） | 近年のクラウドの動向は、仮想化技術の導入によってコンピューテーションの資源を集中化することで、それらを効率的に運用し、コスト(TCO)を下げることができることを示している。集中化することで、信頼性の低いコンポーネントが分散されているよりは、システムとして信頼性は高くすることもできる。しかし、集中している分、一旦クラウドセンタ内に障害が発生すると、サービスとして与えるその影響の範囲は広くなる。さらに、個々の事業者毎に保持すれば本来外部に出る可能性の無い機密性の高いデータが、外部に漏る危険性も含んでいる。このように、クラウドにおいては、コストとディペンダビリティの関係を把握することが重要となる。言い換えると、クラウドセンタにおいては、ディペンダビリティを確保するための導入コストと電力などの運用コストを鑑みながらシステムを構成する必要がある。そのような内容は、ディペンダブルコンピューティングの分野でこれまで検討されてきたことであり、クラウドセンタはまさに当該分野の研究者の活躍が望まれる場である。本稿では、近年のクラウドの動向を踏まえ、クラウドセンタのコストとディペンダビリティについて考察を試み、参考として、信頼性とセキュリティを確保しながら、電力を削減できるようなアプローチを紹介する。 |
| （英） | The recent trend of the cloud indicates that computational-resource consolidation with the virtualization technique is effective to reduce the TOC (Total Cost of Ownership). The consolidation has also good effect to keep the system reliability high by reducing the distribution of low reliable components. However, if some failures occur in a cloud center, a sphere of their effects on service tends to become larger by the consolidation. Moreover, there is the possibility of leaking important secret data, those are never disclosed if they are stored in their local systems. Thus, it is important to grasp the relationship between its cost and dependability of a cloud. In other words, we need to construct a cloud center with considering both the initial cost for dependability and running cost including power consumption of the system. Since these issues related to the cloud are truly the specialty of researchers on dependable computing, their high activities are desired. In this paper, we overview the recent topics related to the cost and dependability of the cloud, and show an approach to reduce energy consumption of a cloud system with keeping its dependability. | |
