| (in English) | The satellite communications has been utilized as a primary communication tool when the terrestrial communication network was ruined by the aftermath of the Great East Japan Earthquake and tsunami. With this experience, it can be confidently concluded that the satellite communication technology is the most hopeful way to connect the disaster area to the communication network. Technologists involved in the disaster has volunteered to challenge for the realization of satellite communications in disasters, and gathered to discuss in Disaster satellite communications symposium. This document organizes the essential compositions of satellite communication system for disasters, reports the technical requirements for the communication system, and states the proposals as conclusions from the symposium members. | |
