Transmission performance of USRP/UHD wireless terminal for multi-uesr MIMO systems

(in English) Multi-user multiple-input multiple-output(MU-MIMO) transmission have been proposed as an effective scheme to improve the spectrum efficiency in wireless communications. This paper reports a hardware implementation of MU-MIMO system.
Mobile station terminals in MU-MIMO system are implemented using universal software radio peripheral(USRP) and universal hardware driver(UHD). USRP is relatively cheap software defined radio terminal developed by Ettus Research.
In this paper, transmission performance of USRP is evaluated, e.g., EVM performance of the transmitter and the receiver, and BER performance of the receiver. Moreover, the results of laboratory and field experiments of 2 × 2 MU-MIMO transmission are reported.
