Performance Evaluation of Slotted ALOHA/DS-CDMA IVC Scheme and CSMA/OFDM IVC scheme

(in English) The inter-vehicle communication(IVC) systems based on CSMA/OFDM scheme
such as the RC-006 are widely developed since autonomous distributed
networks are easily made by using the CSMA/CA MAC protocol. However, the
performance is deteriorated caused by the hidden terminal problem in
CSMA/CA networks. The CDMA scheme can mitigate the hidden terminal
problem because simultaneous communication is possible among users. In
this paper, performances of the DS-CDMA IVC scheme using Slotted ALOHA
MAC protocol are evaluated and compared with the OFDM IVC scheme using
the CSMA/CA MAC protocol. From the simulation results, the PER(Packet
Error Rate) performances of the Slotted ALOHA/DS-CDMA scheme with the
successive interference cancellation become better than the CSMA/OFDM.
