This paper proposes method to improve the received level at the low received level area using a reflector which located near base station antenna. The reflector reflects the waves which depart from sidelobe of base station antenna which does not contribute to cover service area to the direction of low received level area. Moreover, we study the effect of the method using the evaluation model based on physical optics (PO) approximation. We clarified that the evaluation model could estimate received level of the wave reflected by reflector in some degree by comparing the calculation result of the model to measurement results. Further, we studied appropriate reflector size and position of reflector based on simulation. |
