Multi-link Indoor MIMO Measurements at 11 GHz using Scalable Wideband Channel Sounder

(in English) Reflecting the increasing demand for higher data rates in mobile applications, studies and hardware implementations of transmission algorithm operating at unoccupied higher microwave bands are in progress.
In this report, the results from multi-link measurements in an indoor hall environment utilizing a scalable MIMO channel sounder at 11~GHz which is the extended version of already reported $4\times4$ system. Measurement is conducted with one Tx~-~three Rxs setup which provides $4\times4$ MIMO channel matrices of vertical and horizontal transmissions for triple links. For the better understanding of propagation phenomena, directional measurements are also conducted by combining the three Rxs. For the measurement setup, there exist line-of-sight (LoS) between Tx and Rx for most of the measurement points except for the position shadowed by the pillar. The measurement was carefully conducted so that the influence of moving objects in the environment to be negligible. The results indicated that the variation of eigenstructures of spatially separated links are highly correlated when Rxs share the line-of-sight (LoS) for Tx.
