Multi-BS Cooperative Transmission Control among Arbitrary BSs

(in English) Coordinated Multi-Point (CoMP) transmission, in which multiple base stations (BSs) transmit their signals in a coordinated way, is attracting attention as a promising technique to improve cell-edge throughput in LTE, LTE-Advanced. We have proposed the cooperative transmission control method that can improve cell-edge performance by muting the interference signal coming from the other BSs, and we have evaluated that cooperative method by the computer simulation and the equipment. However, in the previous study, we assumed that cooperative transmission control is implemented by using optical fiber techniques, such as RoF(Radio over Fiber), and RRH(Remote Radio Head), so we couldn’t improve cell-edge performance in cluster-edge, since we can’t cooperate BSs that contained other cooperative cluster. In this paper, we propose the cooperative technique that can coordinate arbitrary BSs, and we evaluate the proposed method by using the computer simulation.
