Area Limited Multicast with OpenFlow

(in English) In this paper, we propose a new mechanism to send a massage to hosts in the limited area with latitude, longitude and number of stories on OpenFlow network. In this mechanism, we can limit the area with high precision because we use latitude, longitude and number of stories as location information of each OpenFlow switch. In addition, this mechanism can reduce unnecessary packets because it sends the packet to only hosts connected to an OpenFlow switch in the area without leakage of packets beyond the limit. We implemented this mechanism with Trema and Open vSwitch and validated the action. The area limited multicast proposed in this research can be used as earthquake early warning or public-address system.
