Transmission Characteristics for 5 GHz Indoor GPS-synchronized Wireless Communication Systems

(in English) In this manuscript, an indoor GPS-synchronized wireless communication system is constructed. The system consists of universal software radio peripherals (USRP), GNU Radio, and a global positioning system (GPS) re-radiation antenna system. GNU Radio is a software development tool to implement software defined radios (SDR), and USRP is a hardware device running with GNU Radio. In our system, GPS is employed to establish network synchronization in our wireless networks. The GPS re-radiation antenna system enables our system to synchronize with GPS satellites
even when the satellites are hidden by a roof. This manuscript provides experimental results of indoor GPS-synchronized wireless communications
obtained from our measurements. As a result, the fading characteristics, the effect of physical obstacles, and the bit error rate (BER) are presented in indoor GPS-synchronized wireless distribution networks.
