Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) Cortical areas related to location of visuospatial attention were located by functional near-infrared spectroscopy (fNIRS). Participants conducted a figure detecting task consisted of 12 RSVP stimuli positioned on the circle surrounding the center fixation point. Position of target stimulus moved along the circle clockwise and slowly. Consequently, the location of attention moved around the fixation point. The initial position of the target stimuli was right above or below the fixation point. The differential cortical response between these two conditions derived cortical areas related to locaition of spatial attention.
