UVP(Ultrasound Velocity Profile monitor) is applied at many experimental and industrial fields to investigate the fluid dynamics because of its non-destructive property. Although there are many conventional methods for estimating velocity, .they have difficulty of measuring the flow lower than 1mm/s. Recently, the phase difference method was proposed. This technique detects the phase of the ultrasonic carrier frequency directly from the echo signal, and determines its difference between successive echo receptions. In this report, we have developed a system to measure a very low velocity flow utilizing phase difference method. Then, we evaluate the lower velocity threshold and feasibility to the flow. |
