Amplitude phase shift keying (APSK) is known as a modulation that has peak to average power ratio (PAPR) lower than rectangular quadrate amplitude modulation (QAM) for a given constellation size. Whereas low-density parity-check code (LDPC) and the combination of bit-interleaved coded modulation (BICM) has been already studied , the application of multi-level coded modulation (MLC) to APSK has not been well investigated. In this work, we investigate several mapping approaches of APSK that are suitable for MLC and make a comparison in terms of bit error rate (BER). |
