Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) Recently, many directional MAC protocols that assume the use of variables directional antenna have been proposed.
An adaptive array antenna as a variable directional antenna can be beam pattern depending on environment.
So, the adaptive array antenna can reduce interferences effectively.
However, some situations where the adaptive array antenna cannot reduce interference exist.
As a result, interferences cause a degradation of the throughput.
In this paper, we focus on setting NAV to avoid interference, and propose a NAV setting criterion based on spatial correlation.
We compare the efficiency of a proposed criterion and random choice criterion in a multi-path environment by computer simulations.
Simulation results show that our proposed criterion can improve the spatial utilization efficiency.
