Evaluation of Traffic Matrix Estimation on Service Integrated IP Network

(in English) Understanding traffic matrix structure exactly is important for network design and so forth. Traffic matrix estimation method that traffic matrix is estimated by using each link traffic amount is an accessible method because it uses only the information that the commercially-supplied routers have. The estimation accuracy tends to be high if the traffic matrix is similar to the gravity model, which is the model that traffic volume is proportional to the external link traffic volume of edge nodes. On the other hand, it tends to low if the traffic matrix differs from the gravity model. In this paper, we show the relevant between the estimation accuracy and the traffic distribution on the service integrated IP network and discuss the condition that keeps the high estimation accuracy.
