Flexible Virtualized Optical Transport Networking Technology

(in English) Network and computing resource sharing technology, such as network virtualization or cloud computing becomes more important, for further CAPEX/OPEX reduction or further availability. We are now researching flexible mechanism for partitioning optical transport network resource, and dynamically allocating them for diversified services or applications with isolated controllability. This paper introduces a basic concept and research status of flexible virtualized transport networking technology, that enables service and application layers to control network topology or path bandwidths according to environmental changes such as disasters or unexpected traffic variations.
