Our goal is to clarify the visual properties affecting the appearance of added images with respect of difference in depth from basis images. In our experiments, the added image was superimposed on a car meter or LCD with different values of depth from the observers. In experiment 1 our results indicate that legibility for numbers is not affected by depth difference independent of overlap between the added and basis image when the added image presented for over 500 ms. In experiment 2 our results indicate that perception of depth order, added and basis images, is affected by luminance levels of basis images. |
