Integrated Circuit Implementation of Piecewise Linear Oscillators and its Application to Phase Reset Control

(in English) In this work, we focus on a piecewise linear oscillator known as the Matsuoka oscillator constituting the component elements of a mathematical model of the central pattern generator, and propose its integrated circuit implementation and an application to phase resetting control for rhythmic movements in robotics. Firstly, we show the controllability of the nonlinearity of the piecewise linear oscillator by tuning the time scale parameter and its relationship to the phase response properties of the oscillator, and consider functional roles on the phase resetting control. Furthermore, based on the results, we discuss the potential use of functional integrated devices for assisting the phase resetting control during walking as a possible medical application.
