Construction of standard brain map based on a confocal laser microscope image for silkworm moth brain

(in English) The neural mechanism about a unique behavior of male silkworm moth caused by pheromone stimuli is used as a model system for sensory processing and behavioral control. A great amount of experimental data about morphologies and responses of identified neurons has been accumulated in our database system. However, the most of physiological experiments were conducted on different individuals. In order to integrate these experimental results, it has to make a common platform to unify and compare them. We presented a standard brain coordinates and morphological structure of moth brain to register the experimental data for region and neuron morphologies. In this study, we are presenting a standardization and integration protocol for brain images obtained by various staining methods and resolutions. Our method can apply for the detail analysis on the standard brain with fine structure of brain regions, neural morphologies and relation among them.
