In a contract-base software project, the developer might prepare the estimation, before identifying all the requirements. In these situations, the developer usually adds amount on the estimation. Adding to much amount, however, will result in a situation where the estimation exceeds the budget and causes problems. The developer has to wait for the customer to order or has to give up receiving the order. The objective of the paper is avoiding the above problems. From the information of a real project, which successfully completed, we identify success factors and issues. Based on the success factors and issues, a method for identifying estimation risk is proposed and effectiveness of the method is shown. |
