In this report, we introduce a novel approach to abstract an object collaboration history using the application information about the GoF design patterns in a source code. To comprehend an object-oriented program, there are techniques to draw objects in program runtime and those message transmissions and receptions as a UML sequence diagram. Since the UML sequence diagram formed from the history is too huge to understand behavior, it is effective to abstract an object collaboration history. We discuss the effectiveness of our approach through experiments applying our implemented tool to a open source software. |
