On a dynamical overlay-topology reconstruction scheme based on delay and bandwidth for peer-to-peer live streaming

(in English) With the development of Internet technology, live streaming with peer-to-peer (P2P) technology has attracted considerable attention. It is well known that streaming stability and scalability of P2P live streaming significantly depend on P2P overlay topology. Most of previous works have been devoted to either of streaming stabilization or scalability enhancement. This work aims to propose a P2P live streaming mechanism that achieves good scalability with stable video quality. We consider a dynamical overlay-topology reconstruction scheme based on delay and bandwidth. Our system stabilizes the streaming process when the streaming condition is unstable, while our system enhances its scalability when the streaming condition is stable. Numerical examples show that the proposed system exhibits better performance in scalability than Coolstreaming, the conventional streaming system.
