Network technologies applicable to challenged networks such as packet loss, delay, and connectivity heavily vary are required. In this paper, we address a path selection scheme to use efficiently multiple paths whose properties are different. For example, in an environment such that some paths are broadband but with intermittent connectivity and others are stable but narrowband, a path selection scheme must assign each incoming traffic flow to a path so as to achive a short delay time. Some schemes have been proposed so far; however, we can expect to improve the performance by a scheme that uses a well-known power-law property of actual flow size distribution. In this paper, we propose such a scheme and evaluate the performance by simulation. The result shows that the proposed path selection scheme can achieve a short delay time by low measure load. |
