Analysis of Estimation Accuracy and Training Data in Navigation System Using GPS, Kalman Filter and Neural Network

(in English) A navigation system, whichuses the Kalman filter and correct the dead reckoning error according to difference between the output of dead reckoning and GPS has been proposed. However,the Kalmanfilter requires the GPS data, and cannot beused when the GPS signals are not received. For this reason, an approach which employs a neural networkin order to estimate the necessary information withoutthe GPS data has been proposed. The neural networktrains the relationship between the dead reckoning andthe Kalmanfilter states.When the GPS signal is notreceived, the trained neural network outputs are usedas the Kalmanfilter states. In this paper, we evaluate and analyzethe performanceof this approach based on parametersof the neural network, such as selection of the input data and theoutput data, and the output representation, and so on.
