In wireless sensor networks, sensor collaborative beam forming in which
plural transmitting sensors collaborate to form a signal beam has been s
tudied to realize highly reliable transmission. In the beam forming, if
there is frequency offset between transmitters and their receiver, the c
ombined power by the beam forming decreases and it results in transmissi
on performance degradation. This paper proposes a highly accurate estima
tion method of frequency offset under inter-symbol interferences owing t
o multipath propagation and co-channel interferences. The proposed metho
d decomposes correlation matrix made from pilot signals into eigenvalues
and estimates frequency offset from the eigenvector of the maximum eige
nvalue. Under multipath propagation and co-channel interference conditio
ns, the computer simulation results show that the proposed method can ac
hieve estimation error of less than 1.0×10-4, when the normalized frequ
ency offset by a chip period in each pilot signal is 1.0×10-3. This sho
ws that the proposed method can realize highly accurate estimation of fr
equency offset even under multipath propagation and co-channel interfere
nce conditions. |
