Iterative Kalman Filter for Improvement of Transient Response Performance in Target Tracking

(in English) In this paper, we discuss the improvement of transient response performance using an iterative Kalman filter. In aircraft tracking, since measurement values which contains measurement noises are obtained through a Polar Coordinate system, there is a need to convert those measurement values into a Cartesian Coordinate system using a conversion matrix. As this conversion leads to an approximation error which affects the Kalman filter transient response performance, simulation and comparison is done using smoothed value in calculation to improve the transient response performance.
