An ONU power saving control is studied in PON systems at IEEE P.1904.1. Not only Tx only Sleep mode in that Tx function is power down, but also TRx Sleep mode in that Tx and Rx function are power down is studied. In TRx Sleep mode based on IEEE P.1904.1, an ONU can not received Wake up message (communication start) from an OLT efficiently. We show how to control power down timing of the ONU to prevent re-sending Wake up message. |
