An Asynchronous Sequential Logic Inner Hair Cell Model and its Response Characteristics

(in English) In the mammalian inner ear, the basilar membrane vibrates in response to a sound wave and the inner hair cells transform the mechanical vibrations into electric potentials. The inner hair cell has some nonlinearities such as half-wave recti ed, band-pass lter, and adaptation characteristics. In this paper, we present an inner hair cell model using an asynchronous sequential logic circuit. We show that the model can reproduce the half-wave recti ed and the band-pass lter characteristics by numerical simulations.
