Face tracking and recognition for many persons by 3d sparse eigentemplate
Hisayoshi Chugan, Yuki Oka, Takeshi Shakunaga (Okayama Univ.) PRMU2011-167 MVE2011-76
Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) This paper discusses a hierarchical approach for face tracking and recognition using the augmented eigenface which consists of normalized eigenface and an associative mapping to 3d shape. Although our previous method solves the overdetermined system of linear equations to estimate the weight vector, this paper shows that an hierarchical approach can efficiently improve recognition performance.
