Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) Understanding shape of lobulation is necessary for diagnosis and planning for limited surgery of lung cancer, but it is difficult because of a great variety of lobulation. In this study, we constructed lobulation statistical shape model in order to analyze its variety. We studied automated lung lobe segmentation using fissure enhancement and model fitting. We applied proposed method to 30 non-contrast-enhanced chest CT images without lesion. The result of segmentation by the proposed method was validated by comparing with the result of hand-operated method. As the result, surface error was 1.60±0.70 cm, and volume overlap was 89.1±4.1 %.
