The key to the successful implementation of a stereotactic lung radiotherapy is making a determination on appropriate beam directions, which are generally consisted by five to ten beams with coplanar and non-coplanar directions. However, the determination of beam directions including coplanar and non-coplanar beams is substantially demanding task for inexperienced treatment planners. The purpose of this study was to develop an automated method for determination of the beam directions based on similar cases for assisting radiation treatment planning. |
