Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) Functional decline in the digestive system can be seen with advancing age. However, it is difficult to evaluate the decline on the basis of spectral analysis of electrogastrograms (EGGs) obtained from elderly healthy individuals. The aim of this basic study to investigate the influence of aging on multi channel electrogastrograms (EGGs) and examine whether it is useful to apply the nonlinear analysis to the multi channel EGGs. As a result, we succeeded in findings of the effect of postural change on the multi channel EGGs. Relaxation time of the young is considered to be greater than that of the elderly.
