We propose an innovative acquisition and tracking system using a dynamically reconfigurable optical device for optical inter-satellite communication without growing in size and complications due to directivity control of laser beams. The proposed system provides relaxation of acquisition accuracy and suppression of beam divergence by utilization of phase conjugation to form an inter-satellite communication link. This paper reports on the temporal and spatial characteristics of our system for various incident beam angles to consider relaxation of acquisition accuracy and tracking speed. |
