Determination of optimal guidewire shape in catheterization based on simulation in vessel bifurcation

(in English) We have studied the determination of optimal shape of guidewire on catheterization. In previous work, the position of the tip of catheter was obtained by guidewire simulation followed by estimation of the optimal shape of guidewire. However, since simulation of guidewire insertion at vessel bifurcation was not performed, the tip of the guidewire deviated in some cases. In this paper, we introduce guidewire simulation at vessel bifurcation. The result of simulation by the proposed method was validated by phantom experiment. In phantom experiment, the shape of guidewire estimated by the proposed method reached to the target vessel. Also, comparing simulation and phantom experiment was obtained close transformation.
