Recently, it is a serious problem that the signal integrity of high-speed signals transmitting on PCB traces deteriorates. In order to overcome this problem, we have proposed a novel transmission line and have already shown its effectiveness with the computer simulations and its prototype using a real PCB. In this paper, we try to apply STL to branch traces which are difficult to use as trace structure for high speed signal transmission. First, we investigate validity of STL applied to branch traces with the computer simulation. After that, we made the prototype which refer to the result of the computer simulation and evaluate it. As a result, the logical margin improved 18 times, so we succeeded in waveform-improvement. |
